Die gamescom Awards 2026 wurden am 28. August in Köln vergeben. Die Auszeichnungen verteilten sich auf 19 Kategorien aus den Gruppen Arts, Platform und Global. Über die Gewinner entschieden je nach Kategorie eine Fachjury, die Community oder beide gemeinsam.
CD PROJEKT RED und SEGA gehörten mit jeweils drei Trophäen zu den erfolgreichsten Unternehmen. CD PROJEKT RED gewann mit The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Songs of the Past unter anderem Best Booth, Best Merch und Best Trailer beziehungsweise Announcement. SEGA erhielt Auszeichnungen für Best Audio, Best PC Game und Best Lineup.
Xbox-Preis geht an Forza Horizon 6
Den Preis für das Best Microsoft Xbox Game erhielt Forza Horizon 6 von Playground Games und Xbox Game Studios. Capcom gewann mit Onimusha: Way of the Sword in den Kategorien Best Gameplay und Best Sony PlayStation Game. Ubisoft wurde für Rayman Legends Retold als Best Nintendo Switch 2 Game ausgezeichnet und erhielt zusätzlich den Preis für die beste Business Lounge.
